LG Rear projection wont start

I have a LG rear projection TV Model number: rt-54na61rb . Every now and then when you turn it on nothing comes on screen and a chirping sound is heard for a few seconds and then stops. (The chirping sounds as if something is trying to kick in but cant. Kind of like when a cars starter engine goes and it’s hard to get the car started) If you press any of the channel or av buttons the same chirping starts again for a few seconds. If you turn it off and try to start it again it does the same thing. I have found if you leave it off for a while it will eventually work but the duration of waiting before it works seems to be getting longer and longer with each time this error occurs. I can now wait days before it sometimes starts up. Does anyone know if this is a simple fix like cleaning out a filter or resoldering a loose connection or something like that or is it a big problem that’s not worth fixing..

I have a piece of wood with a 10Kg lump of iron on the end. It's commonly known as a sledge hammer. You lift it to a great hight then bring it samshing down on the set.

LG Rear Projection 44" will not turn on

Make sure you reinstall the lamp door as there is a lamp door switch that must be closed or the unit will not fire the lamp, there should be a small hole or opening on lamp door housing. Some people install the lamp without reclosing the door just to see if the unit works , just to find out if it will not work, and when it does;nt think something is wrong, they do not put the lamp door back on first. Not to say this is the case but it does happen.

Mu bulb has blown on my LG rear projection tV model RT-52SZ60DB

The hours reset procedure is outlined in the owner's manual. Also, the lamp usually includes these instructions as well. If you could post the model number, I should be able to get you that procedure. Also, why are you replacing the lamp? Is there a problem? These should only be replaced when required. They are not cheap. Also, when replacing the lamp, make sure that the access door is seated properly or the set won't turn on. There are safety interlocks that prevent the set from turning on if a door is open.
