Mp3 Player Won't Charge (by 5 users)

posted by SuperHero on Aug 31, 2007

I have an unknown digital mp3, The mp3 didn't come with a manual or disk or nothing, I hooked it up in the computer and it recognizes the digital mp3 player SigmaTel MPT. I tried charging the mp3 player up to my computer for over 3 hours, however when I unhook the mp3 to play the songs on it it shows a songs real quick then says low bat then i can't play no songs or even get into the menu. I tried to look on the back and I don't see any screws or openings so I can open the mp3 player so I have no clue even how I would change the battery. I can't even find this mp3 on the internet so I could even get a manual. Please help I am new to the MP3 Players I have no Idea what to do.

Updated Solution I tried again to charge the mp3 player with the computer for over 8 hours when I unhooked the mp3 to play the songs it said low bat again and would'nt do anything so I threw it in the trash. So that problem is taking care of. I appreciate it very much if there is anyone out there that could give me advice to what is the best MP3 Player to buy for a reasonable price.

My H10 5Gb works perfectly apart from the charge running down very fast.

wiggle your usb cord - I had to wiggle mine a bit where it plugs into the usb port in the computer before it was recognized and listed as a device in 'my computer'. only then did it actually start charging; if your computer is not recognizing it is plugged in, it may not charge.. when i finally figured this out, the actual charging of my 4 gig audiophase mps only took 10 minutes- previously i was trying to charge it for hours without any luck.
