Your coby is not charging anymore..The battery probably needs to be replaced with a new one..Please check your connection when you charge it..There should be an icon that shows your battery is charging. If it does so that means your coby is charging but your battery cant store the energy anymore.

I put a sdcard in the mp3 player & it still won't hold a charge or save pictures that I take, why?

If you charge the MP3 player using the USB cable and the battery will not charge up then the battery is worn out and needs replacing.

My battery for my mp3 won't last long

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My coby mp705 wont turn on but when i plug it to my computer it works.. what kind of assistance shall i do to make my coby back to normal? any kind of answer would be wonderful

sounds like the battery is the problem if it wont start wothout a power source

Check the system requirements for the MP3 player.

Most Coby players require Windows XP or higher and at least 1 GB of RAM to function correctly.

Check your Coby owner's manual to ensure that your machine meets all the required specifications before proceeding.

Charge the MP3 player fully.

Often, a player will act unexpectedly if it has a low charge.

A charge can also help reset the MP3 player if it has frozen or locked up.

Once the player has finished charging to 100%, see if the problem persists.

Re-sync your player.

Plug the MP3 player back in to the computer and then remove all the files.

If you have not done so already, make sure they are backed up to your hard drive.

Unplug your MP3 player and then re-load all of your files.

Check for corrupted and wrong format files.

Most Coby MP3 players only play back MP3 files, and will perform unexpected operations

if files of other formats are uploaded to the device.

Go through your uploaded files and check the extensions.

Anything that does not say ".mp3" or is not listed in your owner's manual needs to be deleted from the device.

hope this helps

How do you charge the delstar ds 821, & down load music?

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I just got the mp3 player. ive been charging it but when i disconnect it from my computer it shuts off and wont turn back on. HELP!

Some older computers that have USB ports that limit the output to 5V @ .5 amp current. Depending on your MP3 player, it may not be sufficient to charge the player. This was the spec back then. Since then, new USB specs call for 5V @ 1.0 amp current - a two fold increase in current.

You may have better luck connecting to a powered USB hub instead. If you're only looking to charge the MP3 player, you don't even need to connect it to the computer. The powered hub gets powered by connecting the ac adapter / power supply to a wall outlet - instead from of the computer's power supply via mother board.

The above assumes there is a good, rechargeable battery; a functioning charger & USB port in the MP3 player and of course, a working USB cable. If any of the above is faulty, you'll never get the MP3 Player to accept a charge. You should try different computers, cables and ports if possible.

Good luck!

I plug my mp3 player into the usb port on my computer and it doesnt turn on to charge like it did before. i tried to turn on my mps player and it acts like there is no power. i just got this mp3 player and...

Hello

Check the connections on both ends to make sure they are attached securely. If the MP3 player is still not recognized, go into the player settings and change the Online Device from Media Device to USB Disk. Use a different USB cord if you have one because it could be broken and not allowing your computer to recognize it.

connect the device to a different USB port on your computer. If the MP3 player is still not charging, plug it into a wall charger. Try charging the Coby device overnight. If it still will not charge, the battery may be bad and you'll need to contact Coby for assistance

Charging problem

You must leave it connected and after charging you will see a message that says charge is full, usually leave it all night, of course it won't take that long, but stop looking at it and let it go.
