If your using vista right click on the desktop and click personalization--->click on display settings -----> there is a bar for resolution drag it over to 1400x900.

IF your computer cannot display that particular size then your video card probably cannot handle that resolution. Either that or try to download a new driver for your video card to see if the new drivers will support it.

Monitor Hp w1907 has no input signal, how do I get connected and keep it from going to sleep

If you set the PC to go to sleep after certian amount of time than it will not put out signal to the monitor. You need to go to display properties (right click on the desk top)/screen saver -power/set the display to never turn off.

My hp w1907 monitor is constantly auto adjusting every 1 or 2 seconds. Make it stop.

Good morning! Auto adjustment occurs when resolution or refresh rate of the display changes. Check your display setings in OS. Set them properly according to product operations manual. Update your display adapters driver. Also check your VGA card or motherboard display port & try using a different cable. try pluging the monitor to a different computer or plug in a different monitor with your motherboard or VGA cards display port. best regards

HP W1907 Monitor goes black after resolution change

This is normal, but it should only take less than a minute for your computer to readjust, make sure all your graphic card drivers are updated, for that may be a factor.
