Hello! A friend is selling me a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV250 and when I turned it on, nothing appeared on the screen except white lines. I tried pressing 'display' and nothing. Does it need repairing, or is there something I can do to resolve it?

u can get it repaired free of cost if ur CCD imager has failed as i told u see the link sony will do it FREE OF COST !!
if ur viewfinder eyepiece remains white as lcd then u can get it repiared free of cost from sony it is there manufacturing fault

do u see anything in viewfinder of camera if white lines are also there then my friend ur friend is selling u a CCD failed Junk camera with no worth !!
