I have a fujitsu siemens amilo laptop.i am using xp home sp2.all worked fine for three years.but suddenly thers is no sound in my laptop.not from speakers and from my headphone.videos and songs seems to be playing without any error but i cant hear anything.also i notice i cant set mute all option because its blurred.i remember my lap was effected by a win32 tanatos virus and i have no taskmanager and regedit.
Hi, Your sound driver is corrupted or removed from your system.Try to re-install your sound driver and then try. also scan your system with some antivirus.

The drivers are available from here (at the Fujitsu site). Enter your model number (I entered Amilo Pro v2010) and OS for the exact drivers for your machine...
This problem appears when the user installing Windows xp SP1 .. so u have to install windows xp pro SP2 .. and then u will need to install the drivers if u don't have the CD driver : http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/deskupdate/
