Possibly a memory issue, remove memory modules, if there are two fitted test one at a time by removing them one at a time, try turning laptop back on

SOURCE: Acer 4520 Dead, Blank screen , No response...

It sounds like something on the motherboard has possibly shorted out. That can range from the CPU to RAM to the DVD. If it's still under warranty I would suggest sending it in for repair.

If you do send it in, please let them know to backup your harddrive if they have to reformat and restore it for any reason. Your important files are still there and safe.

SOURCE: My Acer make Laptop model:

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
4. The power button could be bad.
5. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced

My screen goes blank and system restarts at its own, cd rom is not ejecting out is not working, but icon is shown in explorer- dell inspiron N 5010, windows 8 pro, 3 gb ram, intel i 5.

Hi Harry010 , I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? 1.) Did you recently perform any type of software upgrades? 2.) Did you recently perform any firmware upgrades? 3.) Did you perform any changes to the hardware by updating or changing drivers? Any of the above mentioned changes can affect the behavior of the laptop's operating system; including doing any automatic updates from Microsoft. Based on the limited info you posted with your inquiry, it sounds like there is some sort of driver conflict that is causing the OS to re-boot, perhaps in an attempt to restore itself to a previously known good start-up.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Dell inspiron 1545 14 beeps (more details inside).

This indicates a motherboard issue, sub out the ram memory one at a time, test each as you go, if no change! The motherboard will need to be replaced, or the laptop.

Sounds like there isnt enough power even with the adapters your powersupply cannot give you enough sustained power to run the system if you take the card out does it boot normally? even just disconnecting the power to the card?
