SOURCE: Samsung Delve Increasing Ring

There is no way to change this setting. It is the way Samsung built the phone. A lot of newer phones are being made that way, including other brands. Don't ask me why, but I sell Alltel service and know for a fact it cannot be changed. At least they should give you a choice as to whether you want an ascending ringer or not. Hope this helps.

- Select (highlight) the one you want &.
- Select OPTIONS with the left soft key.
- Click Edit (1).
- Use the directional key (right) to highlight the New Messages.
- Scroll down to Message Alert.
- Left soft key OPTIONS & select edit (as above).
- Then click the directional key until you hit either Downloaded Music or sounds (depending on where you stored your sound file).

SOURCE: on the samsung jet how do you change the message alert tone an

Hello Sir, For this you need to go to Profile menu. There on your preferred profile, go to the menu which personalizes the profile. There on Message sounds, you can change the volume, tone, vibration intensity ( if you use ). But you have to do it to all the other profiles which you want to personalize. Ex. If you want it on Normal and on Outdoor, you need to do the same task on both separately.
Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

I have no text message alert sound on my Samsung S380C. How do I fix this?

I just bought the phone today and even called Straight Talk about it and they put me through all the steps to set it up ( text message alerts) and ~ you guessed it!~ same stuff I'd already done and no results.
If I'd known about this problem I'd have never bought the phone. For people who communicate a lot via texts, this is a major drawback as others have said. Who wants to spend their entire day constantly having to look at the phone to see if any SILENT messages have arrived? It would be o.k. if you had Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and didn't mind but for normal people it's a royal pain in the you know what!

The speaker must work because U can hear the choosing of ring tones but it does not ring when someone calls ...=Samsung Omnia worked when I sold it to the Lady ?

from your query it is clear that their is no problem in your mobiles hardware( speakers and circuit).
therefore there must be a problem with your mobile software.
first trying checking that your mobiles profile must not be switched to silent profile or meeting profile or vibrate profile.
if it is in any above profile then immediately change your profile to normal or outdoor.
then confrom that it its ringtone and message tone status is full. And then check if its call alert and message alert are on to "vibrate and ring" or "ring only".
do these correctly, if done then it will work definitily.

regards!

My phone is not ringing when I get incoming calls, beeping when I get txts, and it won't go on loud speaker. The volume is high. Its set to normal profile, with ringing volume high. Please advise.

Some how your phone was reset or had the tone turned off. Just follow the below guide and your audio should come back on. I would do a soft reset (turn off the handset, remove the battery then reinsert) before performing the instructions.

Tone settings
To select a ringing tone for voice calls, select Tones >
Ringing tone.
To select a ringing tone for video calls, select Tones > Video
call tone.
To set the ringing type, select Tones > Ringing type. You
can also set the device to sound a ringing tone that is a
combination of the spoken name of the caller and the
selected ringing tone, when someone from your contacts list
calls you. Select Tones > Say caller's name.
To set the volume level of the ringing tone, select Tones >
Ringing volume.
To set the various alert tones, select Tones > Message alert
tone, E-mail alert tone, Calendar alarm tone, or Clock
alarm tone.
To set the device to vibrate when you receive a call, select
Tones > Vibrating alert.
To set the volume level of the device keypad tones, select
Tones > Keypad tones.

I have included a link to download your user manual if needed, it comes as a PDF file so you need to have adobe PDF down loader

Mobile phone - message tone alert?

I do not have the phone or the manual...however here are my recommendations from the phones i have owned.

In the phone settings there should be a sound tab. This allows you to select rigntones and alert tones and alarms. Also there are different profiles that you can select ie: Normal- will play ringtones and all audible alerts and alarms...Silent: Will vibrate only and not play any sound ( even though you have selected a certain sound to play)....hope this helps
