Need user manual for Toshiba 20HL86 tv. can you tell me where to locate. Have tried several sites but they don't show it available

The CT-875 remote control was included with the Toshiba 44NMH84 DLP television. I found the television model on several sites about used or replacement remotes, including https://www.replacementremotes.com/toshiba/buy-ct-875-ct875-az684003-dvd-vcr-combo-player-remote-control#t_models .

The directions for using the remote, including programming are available in the TV's manual. The directions for using the remote are throughout the manual, starting on page 19. The CT-8037 remote comes with several different Toshiba TV models. The remote instructions will be included in the TV manual. The manual for the 50L3400U which is one of the TVs that came with the CT-8037 remote is available from http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200007687 . Click on the Manuals and Specs Tab. Chapter 3 of the User's Guide is all about the remote. This section starts on page 39. This is an older Toshiba model. So the manual has to be accessed through the older models site: ftp://195.35.123.32/CCFTP/Manuals/ . If you have trouble accessing the FTP sites, start here: http://portalcp.toshiba-tro.de/ and click on the Owner's Manual tab. Then click on the LCD TV link and choose the link for pre-2008 models (just above the model selection drop downs).

The TV has NTSC (analog), ATSC (digital) and a ClearQAM (digital unencrypted) tuners. So you do not need a converter box. However, digital TV signals are either all or nothing (sufficient signal for the tuner to process the signal or a no signal message will appear). You should check antennaweb.org or tvfool.com for the channels that are available in your location depending on how the antenna is pointed. (Hills, tall buildings and trees may decrease the channels available in your location.) Antennaweb is very conservative in the list of available channels and assumes an external antenna. TVfool.com provides a list of channels (in each direction) depending on the type of antenna you have. (Indoor antennas usually don't get as much signal as external ones.) Antennas for sale have a color rating that matches the colors given by TVfool.

(antennaweb.org indicates that my location will only receive two channels from a transmitter 10 miles away. With an external antenna, I actually get 10 (including the sub-channels) with the majority from transmitters 30 miles away.)

I'm afraid Toshiba goes by the complete model number instead of the serial number. Go here, choose product support, click on show all models, enter your model #, choose go. You will find a downloadable user's guide among the downloads available for your model. Right click on the highlighted text that describes the user's guide you want to download, choose save target as, choose the folder you want to save it in (or create one), and ok the download.
Wait for it to complete downloading before you attempt to open it.

They exact way the lights blink are telling you what the failure is. If the tv is firing the lamp and the lamp is bad, you will hear a buzz sound for about 1 second. The tv tries 8 times before it gives up and spits out the lamp error. Check the user manual for led diagnostics. If you put in a new lamp but still have issues, you've likely got a bad ballast (most common on this model) or colorwheel (less common). Both are part of the optical block (light engine) and I don't believe they're available as individual components from toshiba.

While Toshiba does appear to make a good number of owner's manuals available online, I was unfortunately not able to locate one for this specific model TV through Toshiba's support database.

I was however, able to locate two suggested options that you may wish to pursue:

1) If your TV is still under warranty, you may e-mail a request to [email protected] to obtain a replacement copy.

2) If your TV is no longer under warranty, you will need to contact a local distributor using information provided through the link below.
