I could not find any "reset" information on this machine. It would likely be in a service manual which are hard to find free. The Janome website has some online support but they basically state to contact a local distributor.
BL stands for buttonhole lever,, it's to the left side of the needle bar,,just pull it down when you want to make buttonholes & when your finished making buttonholes,, just gently push it back up

The only place I am aware that the user can oil their machine is in the bobbin race. Take our your bobbin and look for a tiny white wick usually right in the center. Apply ONLY 1 drop of oil.
my sister has the janome 8080... it's listed at the Janome web-site as the DC3050..if you go to the (specifications) of that machine it has a manual you can download for free... hope this helps
