Chech batt. power and do not press hard when instaling new tape. If the tape doesn't slide in smoothly make sure you have the tape faceing the right didection.

Battery door won't stay closed on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S90 Digital Camera

The battery door latch is most likely damaged/broken. Try using a piece of duct tape to keep it closed. I've done this on several cameras with battery door latch issues & the doors stayed shut just fine.

Dear Readers, i have a Nikon camera and it works great. I have had it for a year now, but last week it got dropped, and the battery door will not stay closed. NOTE: There is nothing actually wrong with...

I would use some epoxy.
Put a big drop where the plastic part is missing, wait until it hardens and then take a razor blade and shape it the same size of the missing latching part.

Epoxy should be strong enough to hold your door in place.

I need a replacement door for my hp photosmart m737.the door dosnt stay shut and the AA batterys keep falling out

The "redneck" solution is to use tape. It's cheap and it works and you can buy a lifetime supply for under a buck.

Cassette door won't close. Error code 32:11

i have seen this fault 3 times sadly for me the first time i saw it. was 3 months after my wife spent $ 600 on a sony handy cam. as i dont like hard drive back up im still a tape man. as a tech that contracts to sony corp i called them and was told sorry we cant help the fault was found by sony very soon after building the slide top feeder on the very first hd series and they decided to keep making them anyway hoping hdd back up cameras would fade them out the repair is simple replace the intire take up cartridge the only problem i and my future 2 customers with the same fault found was it cost around $ 400 us. upset by this i contacted many electronics friends till i found one that told me to just hit it after laughing and telling him i know i should kick it he explained to me this is the only cost affective way to fix it and it worked what you do is bang the bottom of the camera very hard several times and in all 3 cases it worked. hold the tape holder shut and bang the bottom the cart will start to go down with my customers there cameras are still going mine did it again and i lost the plot and kicked it to the bin sadly thet dont make tape drives anymore so i spent $ 300 having the tapes put on dvd and now use a hard drive camera :(

best of luck please keep me posted as to how you go

Broken latch on camera back

An authorized Nikon dealer should be able to order the back for you. If there's no dealer in your area, Nikon's service center info is on their web site. There's currently one new back on eBay for US $98..95 from a Canadian seller with good feedback. My only other suggestion is the old joke about pros. How can you tell if a photographer is a real pro? His camera has gaff instead of duct tape.

Battery /card door for my olympus d535

the part you are looking for is not selling separately.Your best bet is to keep the battery compartment door in place with scotch tape or other strong tape after you insert new batteries and look on ebay or craigs list for a similar camera which is defective and they are selling it for parts. You should be able to find one within a month or I can look for one for you and email you withe the link.just let me know

Tape won't go in

try tapping it on the side
-only, only, only use the more expensive JVC tapes. They keep their tension far better than cheaper brands. Also, they won't rub off their oxide coatings on the heads as easily, avoiding the 'clogging' of the heads (which thereby requires constant cleaning-further damaging the heads).
-when and if you do get E- errors do a complete rewind or fast forward to the end of the tape in order to pull out tape slack. Then remove battery and tape for a while. If still screwed, then yes, sharply tap (not hard!) on the closed tape door. That may reposition those tiny switches that I mentioned earlier and get you going again.
-NEVER, EVER, EVER, leave tapes in the machine when not in creates problems for the heads and the mechanisms.
-Don't leave the battery on the camera when not in use for extended periods of time. It can create problems with respect to resetting the computer controlled logic.
-there are little switches and interlocks that provide electrical feedback about the mechanical status of things to the main processor of the camera (ie. tape/no tape in camera, door open/closed etc). Over time, the mechanics get out of adjustment because of usage, humidity and certainly rough handling. So: treat the mechanisms very, very, very delicately. Don't use/store the camera in humid conditions, hot conditions or very cold conditions. Certainly don't leave it in your car---ever!
-get the camera "cleaned and ajusted" regularly to avoid these problems. (I know...more $$$$)
-I keep bags of dessicant in an insulated camera bag with the camera to maintain dryness and optimal temperatures during storage.

Hello - Canon ZR80 - auto shut off

If you're trying to use the camera as a webcam, just remove the tape. The auto power-off is a safety for keeping the tape from getting damaged.
