I would recommend you use a real copy of windows purchase a new hard drive and start fresh. It sounds like the hard drive may have been damaged by shutting down improperly.
Thanks,

Hi there,
This is because there is a connection problem between the external drive and the computer. If you have changed cables to no avail, you can open the casing of the external drive where you will find the hard disk inside. Unplug the two cables connected to the harddisk and replug it after a minute. Then try again. If it still does not work, then you need to buy just a usb enclosure and plug the harddisk there to be able to use it again.
Hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.
SOURCE: How To Recover My Data.?
Dear Rabeesh,
I'm guessing that you've formatted hard drive partitions containing Windows 7. If so, the drive will eventually become RAW as it contains the system files and the OS.
You need to run the professional partition recovery software (http://goo.gl/5eEjN), capable to recover RAW partitions from your hard drive. Follow the link mentioned above and try the software. It comes in demo version, so you can try it for free and once assured, you can go for premium version to recover all your data.

try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this file recovery program called asoftech data recovery to recover your files. download it from
