Sounds like the HDD has fallen victim to Malware of the destructive type. Does the drive boot at all? If not use the software that came with it or go to the website and download a copy. You will have to restructure your HDD.

After further review it seems your HDD in question has failed. I checked Toshiba's site and this was a blog I discovered.

Hi There to hazard a guess I would think your hard drive has failed. Thats the only thing in your laptop that would make any serious noise like that. Even a faulty fan would not make that sort of noise.

You did not mention any noises, but this error message is a fatal one. You may need to replace the HDD.

Why C-D030 error happend?

All CD errors are hard disk errors, likely to mean it is unformatted or corrupted.
The following process allows you to reformat the hard disk.
Think carefully if you want to commit to doing this. It shouldnt cause any problems, Ive had to do it on a couple of our printers in the past with this and a different CD code.

• When the hard disk is mounted.
• When the hard disk is to be initialized. (Physical Format to Logical Format)
1. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
2. Touch these keys in this order: [State Confirmation]
- [Memory / HDD Adj.] - [HDD
(1) Physical Format
1. Touch [Physical Format].
2. Press the Start key to start the formatting sequence.
3. The sequence will be automatically terminated as it is completed.
4. Turn off the Main Power Switch and turn it on again more than 10 seconds after.
(2) Logical Format (Only when initial is set up)
1. Touch [Logical Format].
2. Press the Start key to start the formatting sequence.
3. The sequence will be automatically terminated as it is completed.
4. Turn off the Main Power Switch and turn it on again more than 10 seconds after.

Panasonic DMR-E80H "u99" error message?

It sounds like the HDD is finished, it could not recover, you could see if a computer repair store can help, they have the tools and the software to take it further, but I would consider cost for the attempt.

ERROR: 01-0134-0000. The tool could not get HDD physical information. Please Press [OK] to turn off the computer. I CHECKED THE net 7 it says i have bad boot up sectors in HD Please help

Actually, the error-message is "worse" news than just having a few bad sectors.
It indicates that the electronics on the circuit-board under the "spinning" part of the disk-drive
are not returning any information, when queried.

So, the disk-drive is "dead".

If it still is under warranty, then exercise the warranty to get a replacement disk, at minimal cost to you.

Error code 0X80070571 with the external HDD

The Seatools test has verified that the "physical" hardware is working fine, which is good news.

However, the error-message "disk structure is corrupted" means that there is a "logical" problem. Compare it to a book with a Table of Contents that has been overwritten by a two-year-old with crayons;
the pages are not physically torn nor missing, but you cannot "read" the original Table of Contents information.

Connect the drive, and note which drive-letter that Windows assigns, e.g., 'E:'.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD and press ENTER
Type CHKDSK E: /F and press ENTER,
and let Windows try to reconstruct the Table of Contents on the disk.

Hard driver fault

If the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) isn't physically damaged, that is, it cannot read information anymore on its own, there would be no way (you could) recover the data on this drive. When they say data recovery has "imaginary prices", they probably referred to the cost of such recovery as being exponentially expensive. If a HDD physically dies, the only way to recover the information, if the platters are no damaged, would be to open the computer up in a static clean room, extract, the platters, and attempt to place those platters in another HDD or a device to pull all the data off them. This is an extremely expensive process.

You can tell if a drive is dead by turning it on and listening for a loud clicking sound in a constant pattern or a loud pitch whining sound from the HDD itself. If the HDD is not physically dead, you can get another HDD to install an OS on and pull the data off as a secondary HDD.

Either way, you shouldn't need to match the exact HDD model, sub-model, or symbols to replace a HDD. The only things you would need to focus on would be the interface of the HDD and the physical width (dimension). You have either SATA or IDE for interface and 3.5" or 5.25" for physical width. If the HDD is for the computer related to this problem, you would be looking for a replacement IDE drive. The one that comes standard is a 40GB, 7200RPM HDD. The only thing I can't tell is the HDD's width. That is something you would need to determine.
