On starting a disk, we get "loading disk" message for about 10 - 15 seconds before it switches to "no disc." Yes, the disk is in the machine. The player won't go beyond that point.

Main drive motor that spins the dvd replace with generic, when the motor gets old contacts get
corroded or woren out, ive taken apart and cleand sucessfully for a nother year on the motor.
or purchas another, the dvd must spin fast at the start, ive owend 3 of these pups for about 7
years. its the drve moter the lasers are good and strong.

First the Dvr 1200 has hard ware failure in it the tray eject unit and the display is failed ........................................it can fix in local service center.............................
Second your New DVR 1600 check the format of the dvd is it compactiable with format of the player and if face the same problem get it replaced as this is new player manual opening could lead no warranty on the player , it better to get it replaced ..

cheke rotation of the disc .suppose it"s slow speed or not rotate change the motor . before do this make sure the tray is in loading position . if ok proced the above suggetion. if not check the tray loading motor, belt and related things best of luck do with care by.
Cyberhome has gone out of business in the US. My DVR 1200 stopped working but I was able to repair some capacitors on the power supply to get it going again. You can find more support information about the 1200 and 1600 on these websites:

i have the same issue...on inserting a disc ...it will continuessly tell me...disc is loading...and then switch to "no disc" but there is one...
