Toshiba Satellite L25-S1216 - blank screen

I have a Toshiba Satellite L25-S1216. I tried to boot my computer this morning and it turns on, but the screen is completely blank. I've tried removing the battery, leaving it plugged in to charge, nothing seems to work. Is it a problem with my battery or ac adapter? Or something worse?

Do you know if it still seems to boot? It may just be a bad fl-inverter. to find out.... Look at the screen if there is an extremly faint background then it is probably an fl-inverter problem.

Try to shutdown, remove battery, remove AC plug, Press and Hold Power button for 30 seconds, replace battery and AC adapter and test.
do you hear windows booting ( the startup sound) after a few minutes, if so there may be a monitor hardware problem

My toshiba satellite l25-s119 turns on but the screen is blank?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

Toshiba satellite L25-s1194 wont boot windows

Is it giving you any error or out of the ordinary "beeping" as it is booting?
Usually the BIOS screen comes up if it cannot find an acceptable boot device.
Can you boot from an XP cd?
Can you boot into set up mode.. usually by pressing F1 or F2 on most computers. It should tell you just before the BIOS screen comes up. Enter into "set up" and make sure your boot order is correct.
You might want to reseat your RAM.
Check to see if the hard drive is coming on.

For some models, however -- including those listed above -- booting from the Recovery disc requires pressing the F12 key, rather than the 'C' key. The instructions below are correct for these models.
CAUTION: The Recovery process reformats the computer's hard disk drive, which completely erases its contents -- including all applications, all documents, and all other data stored on the drive. Be sure to back up your documents and other data before following the instructions below.
Follow these steps to erase the current contents of the hard disk drive and to re-install all of the software that was installed on the computer when it was manufactured:
1. With the computer on, insert the first Recovery disc into the optical drive.
2. Shut down the computer (click the Start button, click Shut Down, select Shut Down, click OK).
3. Press the computer's power button to turn the computer on, and then immediately press and hold the F12 key. Release the F12 key when the menu of boot options appears.
4. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the CD/DVD option. Press the Enter key to select it.
The computer will restart, and will boot from the Recovery disc.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to start the Recovery process.
CAUTION: Once the Recovery process has begun, do not interrupt it.

The computer's hard drive will be formatted, erasing its contents. All of the software that was installed on the computer when it was manufactured will then be re-installed.
6. Once the Recovery process is complete, remove the Recovery disc, and press any key to restart the computer.
