I have a husqvarna sewing machine sapphire 875 quilt and it keeps loosing it's tension while sewing. I took it to the dealer a few times and it's still is not fixed. any suggestions

I would write a nice letter to V.P. Dan Sheehan, La Verne, Tn, (SVP Worldwide, and tell him that you are aware of the big problem that Husqvarna 875q has with tension and no one can fix it. I had to write a letter to Sears top guy a few years back and they gave me a new machine. Be respectful but firm about your problems, have copies of your receipts etc. Good luck.

You will find the parts list most helpful, because it will show you with drawings where each part is supposed to go. Go to the Singer site, and type "parts chart" in the Search box, then select Sewing Machines and the 9 - 900 series. Scroll down; it's towards the bottom.

Poppie, are you still stuck? I have a vintage Empisal and did the same thing - but I finally figured out how to put the tension back together. Check out my blog to see if you have a similar machine and I may be able to help.

First the top tension started being loose, so I changed the tension different ways and tried to fix it...now the thread is getting all tangled up under the fabric and is locking up. Also giving me the E6...

Do you mean the stitching on the top of the work was loose? If so, you should check the bobbin tension. Make sure you have the thread pulled under the tension plate or spring on the bobbin case. Tension should be just enough that you can suspend the bobbin in the case by the thread (think yo-yo). Upper tension should be tighter than lower. Make sure you put the presser foot down.

As I'm sewing I keep getting more than one thread coming up from the bobbin. I took it to a shop today and the lady thought the bobbin thread came out too easily and suggested the problem was caused from...

Turn the tension up on the bobbin case. There is a small slotted screw on the bobbin case, usually at the 6 oclock position when the case is in the machine. There should be a small screwdriver in your kit. Turn the tension screw 1/2 turn and try it. No luck, try another 1/2 turn. If its no difference then set back to the original place. Sometimes junk gets jammed behind the tension plates in the bobbin case, they will cause this. A dealer may be the only solution.

Tension problems with top thread husqvarna emerald 203 sewing machine how do i fix

Make sure the upper thread is seated complete in the tension disk:

Remove the upper thread from the machine. RAISE the presser foot. Rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct The machine's default tension should work best at the midway point between high & low number.

Model 8280. The thread on the bottom keeps bunching up. It is a horrible mass of thread. Then, it stops moving. Can you help me?

I had the same problem and I tried everything including removing the bobin case, cleaning out lint, changing the needle, adjusting the tension but it did not work. Then I finally tried reloading the bobin thread, making sure to load the bobin according the manual directions....and the problem was solved...no more tangles... just a nice even stitch...yeah!

Wrong type of stitch/tension not working

Found a solution to my own problem.... hope this helps someone else. Make SURE the bobbin case is seated correctly! (follow the instructions carefully). Don't put the cover back on right away after you put the bobbin case in. First check and make sure it doesn't move when you turn the hand wheel.
Also, when threading the bobbin make sure the thread passes down through the tension adjusting spring of the bobbin case.
