No sound after installing W7 and updates

It sounds like the drivers for your sound card did not come with W7, which wiped out your old ones when it reformatted for the new install. If you know the brand of your sound card, you can probably download the drivers you need on the company's website. If you don't mind spending a few dollars, you can do what I do on every computer I load an operating system on - go to driveragent.com and do a scan. If it shows drivers for your audio (and probably for a few other systems, as well) you can buy a subscription and download every driver you need through them. (You can also use it on up to ten computers.) It has sure saved me a few times!

I just reformatted my computer and I don't remember if there's a software associated with this speaker system as the computer doesn't recognize it at all... i have no sounds

You need a device-driver for the "audio-card" -- the speakers are just mechanical devices, with a signal-amplifier.

Access: http://WindowsUpdate.Microsoft.com
Click CUSTOM search.
When it completes, look along the LEFT edge for "optional hardware updates".
Did Windows Update offer any "hardware" updates,
namely a device-driver for your "audio" device?
If so, select that optional item, and let Windows Update
download it and install it.

Hi,
Follow the procedure for speaker installation here. Verify it.
As this is a very basic output device, it uses the computer's Audio drivers to channel the sound from each speaker correctly. Make sure that your audio driver is installed and working. Other wise open another ticket and give us info on the sound card

Hi, Kazim
Firts things First:
1) check connector for 2 way sound. you can use a headphone for this.

please define "reformat". A reformat to me means a complete "renewal" of both hard drive and op sys. If you agree, then windows did not detect your sound card during re-install. Open device manager and look for ant yellow markings next to the list of the sound system drivers. Those markings are telling you there is a driver problem, so proceed to update the drivers for each device. (for help-post back). If no devices exist in the list, then you must do the following: 1.) if secondary "plug-in" sound card, power down, remove card, power up to windows, shut down windows, plug in card, start windows. 2.) if MOBO-based sound, open BIOS screen at startup and ensure that all options are enabled for sound.
