    Dear c_regianld 40

Do you know where there is a website that gives Microteck scanmaker i320 Vista-64 bit dirvers for it. I do have WIN ZIP on it. I am having a hard time downloading it with it.. I have a Dell Inspiron 530 new . My cd- driver does help but no connection between scanner and pc. It does detect the usb connection but no contact.

    Sincerely yours,

The website that has the company name www.microtek.com would be where you get your software, hardware is more difficult to download, just kidding, hardware is your scanner.

When the item is scanned it sends it to the printer rather than to the computer. What is wrong? How to you get it to save to the computer? microtek scanmaker i320 Looked at all the controls and tried...

Open your ScanWizard, next to "Preview" Tab, is the "Scan To" Tab. Click on the "Scan To" Tab & Create a Folder for your scanned items to be saved on the PC, and click OK.

If you need further reference tutorials( (Manuals and other Documentation) here the link @ http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=34

I have a microtek i320 scanner I used with win XP Since upgrading to Win 7 it no longer works. How can I upgrade my driver? Can I buy the proper driver without buying a whole new scanner?

This scanner should work with the XP 32-bit driver. The driver is here: http://support.microtek.com/knowledgebase_1/kbdtl.phtml?request=KB-00106SW . See the link for other scanners. Unplug the data cable, uninstall the scanner if it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, then install the driver. After installation, connect the data cable.

The support site for this scanner is here: http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=34 . This information is given in the Knowledge Base section if the other link doesn't work.

I know this will work with Win7 32-bit. I'm not sure about the 64-bit version. If the 64-bit version doesn't work with the above driver, you can either replace the scanner, use it with another computer with an older version of Windows, run a dual boot system with an older version of Windows and install the scanner only on that system, or run a virtual computer with an older version of Windows.

If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do the virtual computer for free. Download and install Microsoft's Virtual PC and XP mode. Install the scanner in XP mode as you would on any XP computer. The only restriction is that the files may need to be saved to external media to share them between the two computers.

All other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. (Virtual computer packages include VMWare and Parallels in addition to Virtual PC.)

I hope this helps.

Need ScanMaker i320 driver

Microteck unfortunately have poor support for OS X, so you may have to get a new scanner.  Epson are equally bad for OS X so avoid them too.

New pc dell inspiron windows vista. need JUST the drivers for a microtek i320

Hi den9140,

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the i320 was made before Vista came out, so it is only compatible with Windows XP and earlier. In addition, Microtek has announced that it plans to cease selling consumer products in North America, so there will not be any additional drivers coming.

Again I apologize, and I wish I had better news for you - please let me know if I can be of any future assistance.
