Try installing the latest WEBcam driver.
Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure youselect the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers youthat require and it matches the Windows version that is installed on yourlaptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
Unless you have a cd for that version of windows in OEM style for xp and any for vista you will be out of luck. If you have another computer with the same OS and have its operating system installation cd, you can use this if it is the same version.
Windows XP needs to be exactly the same thing. Windows XP pro, home and media center are all different. So are Retail, Upgrade and OEM cds. For vista or 7 any disc will work that matches the version type, it will determine the version by the COA.
If you do not have access to any cd/dvds then you can contact Acer for a replacement. www.acer.com
Does this model Acer have a LAN port on the laptop.

2. Select Notebook-->Extensa-->Extensa 5620 (your Computer Model) 3.Now select the Operating System from the drop down box and download and install the Drivers. 4. If the Camera Driver is not available for download for Windows 7, then select the Windows Vista same version Driver and install. the Driver should be installed in the Computer as the Windows Vista Drivers should work with Windows 7 OS.
Go to the Acer WEB site to download the drivers you need, make sure it is Windows XP or Vista version for your particular MODEL laptop.

You can go to microsoft and download the version you need and burn a disk .... or if you don't have another system or enough hard drive space ....then you can go to any computer repair shop and for about 5 dollars get the copy you need ....please be advised thou , if your not sure which xp you initially had ....request only xp with no service packs and once the system is up and running you can update as required ..... this will save you grief , time and $ .....good luck !
please install "Avast antivirus" after installing the antivirus, system want to restart then you must restart your sytem , then the system scan all drives for viruses at boot time,if any virus is found the system will want to delete it by pressing 2 and it will delete all viruses from your system, then you must repair your operating system with xp bootable CD , after repair you must install your system drivers......... and then your problem become solve
Have you tried making sure all drivers are installed correctly? Was this problem occuring with Vista basic? If not try and reformat again and do all updates.
