Re: have Roxio 7 and want to install it on Windows Vista
Easy Media Creator 7 is not supported on Vista. Easy Media Creator 9 and above are only supported. Anything lower may be able to go onto Vista, but Tech Support is not going to be able to assist you if you have problems.

OK here is my fix. If you have any Roxio installed i suggest you uninstall all first. I went to my computer and did a search for roxio. i deleted every thing that said roxio. I then went into regedit and did the same search roxio, i then deleted every registry entry that said roxio. It installed with o problem.
i messed with this for days.
before i found the fix.

Hi, I had no trouble using my Roxio 10 with windows 7 and my DVD drive. Make sure you have the latest drivers for Windows and your DVD drive. What worked with XP and Vista will not always work with Windows 7. See if your DVD drive manufacturer has an updated driver, or even try drivers from similar manufacturers. Sometime they share driver software. I hope you get it going. Thanks, Bill
What have you tried to install the software. I have found that many software CD's or DVD's need to simply be opened by right-clicking on the drive's icon and selecting the 'Explore' option. When the disc icons are shown, select the Setup.exe or Autorun.exe and the software will install. If after installing the software doesn't run, try running it in compatibillity mode for Windows XP.
If you CAN, right click on the install utility icon and select 'Run in XP', then it should install.
If not then...
Roxio 9 is pre-Vista and out date for your computer, and can not run on Vista.
You should bite the bullet and install Roxio's newest version.
Easy Media Creator 10 Suite.
I believe you can still get it at a discount as a current Roxio owner.
