I have a motorolla and last week all received calls are showing as unknown which should not be the case. Can you help

OK, not sure if this is the same Prism model you have, but I do recommend a hard reset, just to make it easy on yourself. Before proceeding to hard reset your device, make sure you are sign in to your google account and have all the contacts sync with your google account.
This video will explain how to hard reset your device.

copy Sim card contacts to phone and then apply memory in usage > phone

Always happens. If there is no saved contact number there will show the number with 'Unknown' name. If you want to save the number with any name, then you might do that and after that if that number calls, it'll show the saved number.

Sometimes there are some incoming call that indicates only 'Unknown' with no number at all or '0000000000' that means callers have chose to hide ID or that is a VOIP call. Many operator permits to hide ID but not all.

my blackberry curve 8520 does not want to show the number if i receive incoming calls. it just say unknown number....please help

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

maybe check on the ringer type for restricted numbers- you can change ringers by all calls, restricted calls, and caller id numbers. your incoming restricted numbers is probably set at none or silent

You will have to call the Service provider AT&T, Cingular ect. and ask them what is going on. No service on phone, means you are no longer connected to them, something they can only fix.

Depending on your model, You need to press the MENU button, or check if there is a REPORTS button. For either case, scroll through the display until you come to the PRINT REPORTS mode. It may be worded differently on your machine, but what you are looking for is the FAX ACTIVITY report. You can also get printouts of TRANSMISSON OR RECEIVE ACTIVITY, and also CALLER ID, iIf you encounter a command called PROTOCAL DUMP, this also is a printout of fax activity.. Whether your activity report goes back to july 2007 is unknown. Normally an activity report shows a certain number of activities per printout, say the last 50 fax operations. It is not based on a certain timefrane.
