I bought an i9 cell phone but now the side to unlock feature is not functioning, therefore I cant get inside the phone

Try to slide it lil bit above the sliding bar..then return your phone settings to orig.

Try doing a hard reset. You press the Home button and the Lock/Off button on top at the same time, you will see the off slider but keep pressing them until you see a gray apple. Then let GO. I hope this helps.

I have an i9 and i cant seem to get my bluetooth to work

There are two reasons your Motorola i9 will refuse to write/accept bluetooth file transfers:

  1. Your users manual states there is a bluetooth file size cap of up 6 megs, & the service provider may have locked it down even lower.
  2. DRM & 'forward-locked' files may be refused by the bluetooth file transfer function.

Here are some steps for troubleshooting your Motorola i9 bluetooth functionality:

  1. confirm that you have sufficient storage on your Motorola i9 for what you are transferring.
  2. confirm your files are < 6 megs in size
  3. confirm your files are DRM-unencumbered.

Hello i just received my sci phone i9 +++ today and everything works great but i just cant receive text and mms messages please help! im really struggling

These phones comes with Chinese mms and sms settings only. You need to set it up yourself. if you want let me know what's your service provider, I have the info. about T-Mobile, but I guess we can get any other information from Google.

Go into settings and select dual sim and select sim only 1 or 2 depending which slot your sim is in. Or deselect and reselect. Is sim located in phone right way?

Cect i9 slide to unlock will not open

THIS WORKED FOR US: Hold down the power button until you see the "CANCEL" icon; tap around the screen until the "CANCEL" button turns blue - this will take you back to the slide feature. MAKE NOTE OF WHERE THIS SPOT IS ON THE SCREEN. Repeat the "cancel-screentap" process to find a 2nd spot in another area of the screen. While on the "slide" screen, draw a line between the 2 spots; when you return again to the "slide" screen, the "slide" should work.

ONCE YOU HAVE OPENED THE PHONE do 2 things:
  1. RECALIBRATE the screen
  2. LENGTHEN the screen saver time-out to something other than the shortest time available.

PS - dunderground posted the following solution in Apr 2009:

"The fastest way is to be on the slide-lock screen & hold the side volume button in the Up position until "Press volume down key to check" comes up onscreen. This may or may not work on all firmware versions on the current i9, but works on most. Make sure to hold the button firmly in the Up position. You will first see the normal volume speaker icon show onscreen and the volume rise, but just keep holding it Up, and eventually you should see the pop-up box noted earlier. The moment you see that pop up onscreen, immediately press the side volume button in the down position. A white calibration screen should now show & you can calibrate the touch screen using the stylus."

THE I9 IS A JAVA BASED JAVA APP PHONE THE JAVA APP THAT RUNS THE SLIDE TO UNLOCK FEATURE HAS MALFUNCTIONED THE ONLY WAY IS TO HAVE A TOTAL FIRMWARE RESET BUT AT THE MOMENT CECT ARE NOT SUPPORTING THIS YOUR ONLY HOPE IS TO CONTACT THE SELLER OF THE PHONE AND TRY TO GET A REPLACEMENT HOPE THIS IS OF SOME HELP THERE IS A CECT FORUM IF YOU SEARCH GOOGLE
