My i9 phone's slide to unlock feature wont work

probably the touchscreen just broke on the bottom part after a while

The SciPhone i9 is not locked to a specific carrier from the factory. That is, it comes from the factory SIM unlocked.

you can try to reload that particular file it might have been corrupted it happens with thoses phone under certain circumstances

When you first get it or if you change it to factory settings it will do this until you change the pen calibration. Just keep working at it its just not very sensitive till you do that. I had the same problem but was able to get it so just keep working at it.

Have you tried Calibrating your screen?
. There are 2 ways to get to the calibration screen. Please use the stylus to calibrate!
The fastest way is to be on the slide-lock screen & hold the side volume button in the Up position until
"Press volume down key to check" comes up onscreen. This may or may not work on all firmware versions
on the current i9, but works on most. Make sure to hold the button firmly in the Up position. You will first
see the normal volume speaker icon show onscreen and the volume rise, but just keep holding it Up, and
eventually you should see the pop-up box noted earlier. The moment you see that pop up onscreen,
immediately press the side volume button in the down position. A white calibration screen should now
show & you can calibrate the touch screen using the stylus. Try to tap as close to the center of the little
pulsating icons as possible, as this will more accurately calibrate your touch screen. If the calibration
screen didn't come up using that method, then you can get to it from the Main menu screen.
Select "Settings", then select "Pen calibration", & follow the previous instruction.

Only thing I can think of mate. Is, take out the battery, SiCard and memory card for a while. Least a minute or 2. To see if it'll reset. Or try more troubleshooting. By just trying the phone with only the SIcard in and no memory and vice versa.

If doing all that and playing with or without the cards. And its still messin up. Then hate to say it. Its more likely the phone itself. I have 2 of these phones. I was lucky to buy in a cheap lot. So I have one as a spare. But I have no problem with them. Had em for a lil while.

See thing is, all these new gadjets coming out and so many knockoffs and clones. They make like a billion of these phones a month. So theres so many lil glitches,bugs ect etc. Thats why its best to wait a couple months before buying something new that comes out.

If your phone is a first gen. Then that can be the problem too. Best to get Second or Third gen. Make sure they fix most of the glitches.

Hope this works out for you. Check E-bay. If you need a new i9 or something. Selling like hotcakes and cheap!

THIS WORKED FOR US: Hold down the power button until you see the "CANCEL" icon; tap around the screen until the "CANCEL" button turns blue - this will take you back to the slide feature. MAKE NOTE OF WHERE THIS SPOT IS ON THE SCREEN. Repeat the "cancel-screentap" process to find a 2nd spot in another area of the screen. While on the "slide" screen, draw a line between the 2 spots; when you return again to the "slide" screen, the "slide" should work.

ONCE YOU HAVE OPENED THE PHONE do 2 things:

1. RECALIBRATE the screen
2. LENGTHEN the screen saver time-out to something other than the shortest time available.

Try doing a hard reset. You press the Home button and the Lock/Off button on top at the same time, you will see the off slider but keep pressing them until you see a gray apple. Then let GO. I hope this helps. 

is it stuck..like the slide feature wont let you slide to get to the main menu??? Mine did this and it lasted for almost a day..i had top take the battery and sim card out and keep putting them back in and keep turning it off and on and eventually it became unstuck. and has worked since and not gotten stuck..if its not that then let me know..also
