I have a sony DSC-F717 and when I look at my image through the LCD screen everything is tinted yellow... this problem is intermitent, it comes and goes... downloading to computer, the pictures are fine......

The chip that drives the image to the LCD is faulty or the LCD screen itself is faulty. The problem will most likely get worse or continue indefinitely. The only solution is to contact customer service and see if you can get it repaired. If it is under warranty it should be a free fix but if that expired you will have to pay to get it fixed. Luckily though, the camera sensor is fine and it still will function but your display will continue operating oddly.

I have a sony dsc-f717 took several pictures and now i get format error 13:01 and can't retrieve the photos I've took and veiwed. Help retrieving

1st, try and download the pictures via your computer and a memory card adapter. If you're computer doesn't recognize the card through an adapter,

2) go to www.ita.sel.sony.com
Search by the model number of the Memory Stick. There is Memory Stick recovery software. follow the steps for the download and recovery.

3) On new/blank memory cards, I sometimes have to format the MS in the camera first, then everything works fine.

Downloading pics from camera to computer

This is an easy fix. Be sure your camera to wire and computer to wire connections are good ones. Turn on your camera. If you don't see action on the screen go to the control panel and click on "hardware and sound" then on "view scanners and cameras" Now you should be up and running. enjoy.

Retrieving used memory space off DUOPro stick that can't be viewed on LCD or computer.

You have a bad sector on the memory stick.

Download the data to a computer and format the stick.

Good luck.
