Some manufacturers made a toggle that is in the upper left hand corner of the touchpad that you tap twice to toggle the touch pad on or off.
Some touchpads will have a button at the very top of the touchpad in the middle that you press to toggle the touchpad on or off.
Some manufacturers let you toggle the touchpad between on and off with keystrokes. Normally the keystrokes is to Press and Hold the ALT or FN function key then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the keypad. Normally the correct key that toggles the keypad will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square which represents the touchpad.
You can always try to see what the manufacturer manual says about the keypad.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for manuals.
This is to unlock the keypad ..press the central pad then press * to unlock the keypad.According to Nokia support the method used to activate a Nokia keypad unlock and lock mechanism while in stand-by mode is first to press the center scroll key, known as the 'navi key' followed by pushing the star key. This will either secure the keypad or render it usable depending on the previous state it was in.It is also possible to have it so after a certain period of time the keypad will automatically lock. To deactivate this feature follow the steps below:
1. First press the menu key2. Select the option 'settings'3. You will then need to select one of either Phone, Phone Settings or Device depending on the Nokia device owned.4. Choose Automatic Keyguard and select 'OFF' If you still need my help, please provide more details about your Nokia problem (nokia model #, how the problem started, etc..)
try typing what you want into your search engine ie, user's manual" for King king USA Big Foot Infrared Foot and calf massager. you might be pleasantly surprised
It seems that your laptop keyboard is not working any more. you need to buy new keyboard for ur laptop or if you want to use usb keyboard then remove this keyboard's cable, connect your usb keyboard it will work.
1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control
board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad
(also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad
in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also
called ERC or clock).
The number lock feature is enabled. You should see an indicator for the Num Lock (lit when on) that is next to the Caps Lock indicator.
You should be able to disable the lock by pressing Fn and Num Lock together on the keyboard. (On some Sony Vaio keyboards, type CTRL+ALT+NumLock or Shift+NumLock.) The number lock should be at the top of the keyboard near the F1-F12 keys. Sometimes the key is shared with the Scroll Lock function (otherwise it will be nearby). It's really easy for the Number lock to be enabled on some Sony keyboards; just some dirt between the keys can enable it when you didn't turn it on intentionally.
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (I don't have the VGP-WKB1 wireless Sony keyboard and can't find a good picture of it to find the Num Lock key for this model.)
Try this. Touch Keypad simulates a wireless phone keypad on the touch screen to
allow you to enter text, numbers, and symbols just as if you were using
a wireless phone keypad. Touch Keyboard simulates a 20-key QWERTY
(typewriter) keyboard on the touch screen to allow you to enter text,
numbers, and symbols similar to the way you would using a QWERTY
keyboard. To use Touch Keypad or Touch Keyboard: In a program, tap
the Input Selector arrow, and then tap Touch Keypad or Touch Keyboard.
To type lowercase letters, tap the keys on the dial pad or keyboard. To
type a single uppercase letter, tap the Shift key and then tap the
corresponding key. To type all uppercase letters, tap the Shift key
twice. To change back to all lowercase letters, tap again. To enter a
space after the word, tap the Space key. To start a new line, tap the
Enter key. To backspace and delete a single character in any input
mode, press the Back key. To open the Symbol pad, tap the Symbol key.
To change the input mode: Tap the Input mode key to switch to a
different input mode: XT9 (predictive), Multitap (abc), or Numeric
(123).
Hope this helps, let me know if this works or if I can help you with anything else. JimmyC
