Hitachi I have a rear projection hITACHI 50". The blue gun has becaome out of wack over the past 3 days. 3 of the 9 the blu wont move, the other will only move left and right. Help!!!!

If it uses a lamp that is possible---sets with a lamp will often dim down just before the lamp fails in a total way.

On a projection television you will have to replace all three(red,blue,green) projection guns in a matched set, the reason is if you replace just the green gun, your picture will be over saturated with green light making your picture look green,because the new gun will be alot brighter than the red and blue guns.
With that said, repair will cost approx.$400+, I've heard up to$600. Good luck !

Your convergence ic's are defective along with the bias resistors.

Replace this:
--(if led red is off).: IC .STRM6511.
---(if led red is on)....Replace all (3) : STK4274 convergence IC
---Sometimes vertical IC need replace too.

You need to change convergence amplifiers. Should be no problem for a professional

I'm no expert, but I think that you have a problem with the convergence of the 3 color guns. I've been working on a similar problem. As a first step, have you tried "Magic Focus?" The Magic Focus button for the Hitachi 53UDX10B is at the left of the small front panel controls that also include your RCA composite and SVideo connectors. Let the set warm up for about 20 minutes (as recommended by the user guide), and then press the Magic Focus button. When you press the Magic focus button, the set will auto align the 3 color guns. If this doesn't fix your problem, unplug the TV for at least 4 hours and try again.

Do an internet search on "Hitachi Convergence Circuit". This apparently happens all the time. TV repairmen charge about $400. Parts are less than $50 but you would have to be an expert at soldering electronics circuits to replace it yourself.

My TV had the Blue misalign instead of the Red. I ordered the kit #9 from http://www.bdent.com/search/part.jsp?partnum=KIT9

DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SOLDER. YOU WILL PROBABLY RUIN YOUR TV.

Just curious... since the Hitachi 50UX57B projection TV does not have any lamps in it, exactly which "lamp" did you replace? Did you actually replace the entire blue CRT itself?
