Take out the cartridge and rub the contacts gently on both the cartridge and the printer.
If this doen't work, pull out the power lead while the printer is still on and then plug it back in while holding OK and HELP keep holdig OK and HELP until the screen goes blank then release. Turn on the printer using the on button and this should clear any residual memory in the printer.
If this doesn't work then you have a faulty cartridge which needs replacing - sometimes you get a faulty cartridge but it is rare
