Reset what happens if i reset the player?

Do a reset of the remote and the player:
To reset remote remove batteries and hold power button for 30 seconds. To reset player Power it on and hold the fast forward button down for 10 seconds.

Where you able to reset the mp3 player by pressing the reset button? If not, then try to press it while it is connected to your computer. See if something happens.

Use the Reset, make sure you use a blunt pin.

the same problem happened to my RCA player, and i tried many things to get it to reset properly, but none worked. i sorry but i think it is toast

Please try to reset the player while it is connected to the computer and see whether it helps.
This could be done by inserting a paper clip into the reset hole and press and hold for about 20 seconds.

Try adjust the USB cable and/or switch which USB port it's connected to on your computer. Also just patiently let the player sit and try not to perform any other actions on the computer. When mine did this, I opened Media Player, wiggled the USB cable and waited. Eventually it connected and worked correctly.

reset button is next to data port. use paper clip,press hold.it should reset.

Reset the player by sticking a pushpin (or some other very skinny object, like a pencil point) into the bottom of the player where it's labeled "reset". This should fix the problem.

This happened to my daughter's mp3 player, it wouldnt turn on even when plugged into the computer with the USB cord. On the back there is a reset, take a pin, press it in and reset the unit, I did it for about 2 seconds. Tried turning on the player and it turned on. Hope this helps.
