If you get a mobile phone and select its camera, then look at the LED at the front of the remote thru the camera, press some keys on the remote unit and you should see the LED light up on the remote on the mobile phone camera screen (it picks up Infra Red which we can't see). this will let you know if the remote control is working. if it is, the receiver at the indoor unit is either covered with something, check thoroughly, or the receiver is faulted, replace via technician. Yes, if the filters are clean, the coils are clean, and it is still freezing up in cooling mode, then it is low on refridgerant.

SOURCE: Have a mistral air con, outside unit not working

there is no fuse on your condensing unit outside. pull the disconnect to kill the power to the unit and take off the removable panel above the 2 service valves. there will be an oval shaped capacitor that is marked herm and fan. there will be a rupture disc on the top that may have ruptured. also inspect the low voltage wiring(will still be hot unless you turn off the switch at your furnace). this low voltage wire operates a magnetic coil on the bottom of the contactor that closes a high voltage circuit to the fan and compressor.

The screen on the remote is working however it doesn't seen to be make a connection to the unit therefore the aircon unit isn't turning on. How can we fix this?

This sounds strange but if you have a mobile phone with video recording on it, run the video whilst pressing the remote control. If you point the camera at the end of the remote (Where the glasslike bubble is), you should see it flash ( On the camera) You will not see anything with the naked eye, you must look at it through the camera while on video record. If you see a flashing, it means the remote is OK and you will need what is called " a receiver board" in the indoor unit of your aircon. If it doesnt flash, it means the remote is faulty. Try the manufacturer for a replacement .

Bye the way, any remote control can be tested in this way... try it with your TV remote to confirm it works..

Hi, I have a Yamaha rx-v450 amp that won't change sound modes (stereo, hall, jazz, rock etc) from the remote control but it works from the buttons on the unit. I've checked my remote by pointing it...

Hi! Transmitting doesn't mean it's working, What you should do to test it is use a good quality universal remote such as a Logitech Harmony and first program the preset code for your receiver into the Universal Remote. If that works, you know your OEM remote has gone bad, at least for those buttons. If it doesn't then you you should attempt to have your Universal Remote "learn" the IR signals from your receiver's remote If the controls still don't work, there is a problem with either your IR receiver on your receiver or the the circuitry that proceesses the signals into commands. Good Luck!

Right turn signal does not work, right one works as advertised. checked wiring and fuse. if it is the flasher unit then where is it located on a 2009 883 sporster

Your bike is not equipped with the old style "flasher unit". It has a "black box" unit that is called a turn signal canceler. It starts the turn signal flashing and then cancels it after a certain period of time. In your question you said that the right signal doesn't work, then you said that the right signal does work. Make sure which ever side does not work that both the front and rear bulbs are good. If one of the bulbs is bad, it won't flash. Make sure both the front and rear turn signal light up. If you can't get it, contact me directly at [email protected] and I'll send you a trouble shooting guide. That might help you solve the problem. Make sure you remind me of what you need.

Good Luck

Samsung aircon remote not working

Does your remote have batteries? If yes change them. Somewhere on the unit there should be a selector switch, put it into test and manually lower the thermostat setting

Remote does not turn on Panasonic CS-A28BKP5

Point the remote control IR LED at a digital camera such as your phone camera (The LED is usually on the top of the remote and is what is used to transmit a signal to the receiver board on the head unit). When you press any button on the remote, a purple flash from the LED should be seen on your camera screen. If not, you have a faulty remote. If you see one, you probably have a faulty receiver board and will need to replace it.
