No sound in karaoke machine

I have an optimus Karaoke machine cat. # 32-1163, it had belonged to a friend and he said it made a popping sound when he plugged up the aux. mode and now there is no sound from the internal speakers. all components are working with the exception of sound. Does this machine need the remote to work properly? all volume controls and settins are also on the face of the machine. Can I possibly get my hands on a schematic and repair manual for the piece of equipment?

Check all the power transistor and resistor in the amplifier section, check also the power supply for correct voltage. if all the components are good next step is check the speaker. leaky capacitor makes your amplifier a popping sound output. i hope this may help you... good luck...

Emerson karaoke no sound

If you are experiencing no sound from your Emerson Karaoke machine, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the connections: Ensure that all cables connecting the karaoke machine to the speakers and other audio equipment are securely plugged in and not loose. Also, check the volume levels on the karaoke machine and any connected devices to ensure they are not set to mute or very low levels.
  2. Check the microphone: If you are using a microphone, check to ensure that it is plugged in correctly, and the volume levels are set correctly. Try using a different microphone if available to rule out the possibility of a faulty mic.
  3. Check the speakers: If you are not hearing sound from the speakers, ensure that they are powered on, and the volume levels are set correctly. Try connecting a different set of speakers or headphones to the karaoke machine to see if you can hear sound through them.
  4. Check the karaoke disc: Ensure that the karaoke disc you are using is not scratched or damaged, which may cause issues with the sound. Try using a different karaoke disc to see if the issue persists.
  5. Reset the karaoke machine: Try resetting the karaoke machine to its default settings, which may resolve any issues with the system's software. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to reset the device.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it may indicate a hardware problem with the karaoke machine, and it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional technician or the manufacturer's customer support team.

Won't play ITunes! This Karaoke is incompatible for Apple (ITUNES, IPOD, etc.) I even tried creating Thumb Drive (using USB) and then a CD. This brand Karaoke won't play the ITUNES songs.

What cord do you need to plug the ipod into the karaoke machine

This depends on the karaoke machine in question. Mostly the Ipod accepts a 3mm earphone jack and the karaoke is supposed to support the regular av in 2 pin jack. so all you need to do is get the single 3mm headphone jack to 2 pin av in jack. that should work perfectly.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Microphone

It really depends on where you will be using the microphone and and whether it is just going to be used for fun at home or in a club oor for recording?

Some golden rules for microphone selection.
1) Make sure the microphone is Uni-Directional. This means it will only pick up sound from the direction it points in. You are less likely to get feedback or background intereference.
2) For a vocalist, make sure the mic is a reasonable size. If it is too small and you need to hold it, after a while it becomes fiddly and uncomfortable.
3) When singing always use a foam hood or pop filter with the microphone. This will reduce explosive sounds on the letter "P" etc.
4) Choose a microphone with a wide frequency response but not too much bass which can make vocals sound boomy.
5) Finally, the microphone must have a reasonable dynamic range so that if you suddenly shout it does not distort excessively, but it will also work when you speak or sing softly.
