I have just purchased and put together a FreeSpirit Treadmill No. CA 249 29279 0 from Sears. When I plug in and press the on button, the monitor says

Sears sell the Free spirit product and should be able to supply parts.

Now RUN THE SOFTWARE CALIBRATION for diagnostics,
troubleshooting, and fix it.
However adjust and fix it the REED switch, clean it, and tightvery well
the plug or connector see the diagrama attached.

Get support online via chat or phone, since the machine is new, before to do any repair by another persons, in my personal recomendation for safety .

"Free Spirit" is the brand name Sears uses. That does not tell us who the manufacturer is. They have machines made by a number of diferent companies. The model number is required.

Did you try it before you bought it and it was working. when you move the unit and pluged it into the wall outlet was it on? if yes then you may have damaged the lower board. If you can not get that part then the treadmill has died. Is it a Bowflex or a Free spirit.
