LifeFitness F3 treadmill loses power to console board when pressure is applied in/on buttons

This treadmill was recently moved, as far as I know nothing was damaged or banged. When we put it together and replugged in the wires the treadmill wouldn't turn on. So we checked the computer board and something was a bit loose so we fixed it, however when we pressed certain buttons like the stop or increase speed tthe power to the mother board **** off. When we press those buttons too hard it shuts off. We found if we kept a piece of metal in between the closure cover on the mother board it helped a little but when I press the buttons too hard it still shuts off. It feels like it may be grounding and or a wire may be loose. How can I get this problem fixed? Do I need to purchase parts? Thank You

SOURCE: Proform 730i powers on but will not move when I input speed.

I have the same treadmill with the same problem statement. Here is how I fixed it:....Open the lower shroud that covers the motor. You must remove 4 or 5 screws. Taped to the inside of the shroud should be a document with a calibration procedure on one side and electrical specifications on the other. It will tell you how to run the calibrations. You need to hold the stop button and the + speed button as you insert the safety key. This will put you into calibration mode. My treadmill started working again after I ran the incline calibration routine. Hope this helps.

Because you are hearing the lift motor making a noise, it sounds like the gears in the motor are bad. The fix is to replace the lift motor.

SOURCE: Hi. I have a BH Explorer treadmill. We recently

By the sound of it I am assuming the you have power to the upper display. This happens quite often when people even moving their treadmill from one room to another. My suggestion is first make sure that the safety key is engaged on the upper electronics if it is then, unplug unit remove motor shroud then locate lower board and pull and reconnect each connectors then fire it up and observe if the LED lights are on one will say PWM. This is the command for the motor to engage, the light will start flickering this mean the upper console has sent the proper signal for the motor to move. If no movement then unplug unit then remove the two connectors that go to the motor attach a 18v dc (fully charged ) drill battery and if you the motor move then look at the lower board by sheer bad luck went bad . Now if you see no flickering on the lower board remove upper console and check the the connections their. hope this give you a directions to follow.

Lifefitness F1 Treadmill control panel not working

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Lifefitness F1 Treadmill console. Based on the information you've provided, it seems like there might be a problem with the console itself. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check the power source: Ensure that the treadmill is properly plugged into a working power outlet. You mentioned that there is power going to the control panel, so this step seems to be fine in your case.
2. Reset the treadmill: Locate the reset switch or circuit breaker on the treadmill, typically located near the power cord. Press the reset switch or reset the circuit breaker to see if it resolves the issue. Give it a few seconds before trying to power on the treadmill again.
3. Check the console connection: Open the console and inspect the wiring connections between the console and the treadmill. Ensure that all cables are securely connected and there are no loose or damaged wires. If you find any loose connections, reattach them firmly.
4. Contact customer support: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact Lifefitness customer support directly. They can provide specific troubleshooting advice for your treadmill model or arrange for a technician to inspect and repair your console.
Remember to refer to the user manual or contact customer support for model-specific instructions and support. They can offer further guidance and assistance based on the specific details of your Lifefitness F1 Treadmill.

I have 9500HR Treadmill Lifefitness, Lift keeps increasing when pushing the down button.

RUN the software calibration for easy diagnostic and fix it. Go under the HOOD motor, and follow the steps.
The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration:
  1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.
God bless you

My life fitness f3 treadmill wont incline anymore it says OFF on the screen how do i turn it on again?

You have to 'RECALIBRATE" the treadmill. This happens to my F3 all the time and it is very frustrating. Evidently there is no "fix" except to "RECALIBRATE.".

Here is how to do it (pay close attention because it gets TRICKY!):

1) Turn "ON" the treadmill;

2) Press the "RESET" button;

3) Here is where it gets tricky:

After you press the "RESET' button "PLEASE WAIT" or "WAIT" comes on;
As soon as the screen goes "BLANK" but before "SELECT PROGRAM" appears, hold the "PAUSE" button down until "DIAGNOSTICS"
appears.

(I told you that was tricky... so after you press "RESET"... 'PLEASE WAIT" will come on... as soon as the screen goes "BLANK" you must hold the 'PAUSE' button before "SELECT PROGRAM" comes on. If "SELECT PROGRAM": comes on you have pressed and held "PAUSE" TOO LATE! You must time it right between 'PLEASE WAIT" and "SELECT PROGRAM" when the screen is BLANK. Why LifeFitness made this so difficult is a MYSTERY!!!!)

OKAY... TO CONTINUE...

4) After "DIAGNOSTICS" appears, use the arrows to scroll to "CALIBRATION."

5) Then press the 'START" button (make sure it's the SILVER not the black START button!)

6) The treadmill will then automatically cycle through a series of tests including speed and incline adjustments in order to complete the "CALIBRATION."

7) When successfully completed, the console will display: "PASS"

8) YOU'RE DONE! And your incline should work now. You may have to TURN OFF the treadmill and TURN it back "ON" so that you can resume using the treadmill.

Hope this helps! Once again... LifeFitness should have made this 'RECALIBRATION" much simpler!

Good luck! It's very hard the first time... but once you do it a few times, it gets easier!
