Electric or gas? Check your airflow, all the way out of the home, could be poor venting causing short cycling.

If it has a static igniter check to see if it is trying to ignite. They are not expensive and easy to replace.

the igniter is broken is an electric element that turns red hot to ignite if this little piece is not working you wont have heat.

Sounds like the thermostat was not set properly at the factory. Call GE's service number located in your owner's manual for service.

The gas burner valve is not the correct one for LP gas. You have to convert the valve as well as the orifices. The clicking is because it is over heating and cycling on and off o the high limit (safety thermostat)
