I have a t-mobile contract but i have an at&t Sony Ericsson W580i and i want to unlock it because when i try to put my t-mobile sim card. it asked for a smart card. help me out please

Press the following sequence when your phone is on: Left(joystick), *, * left.

Either a menu will pop up where you have to pick NCK or you will be able to directly enter the unlock code.

From the main menu, Choose contacts
Select options and Press Advanced
Choose "Copy to SIM".
Select one of the options that pop up.
All the existing SIM card data is replaced when copying the contacts from the Phone to the SIM card.

Pictures and text message can't be saved to sim-card.
You need to transfer these with memory card or to computer and from computer to other phone.

SECOND! No install. It just runs.

Take your phone, turn it off. Start this program and click on connect.You'll have 30 seconds to plug your phone into your computer and HOLD CThe entire time! (the delete button or 2). When connected, you can let go of the C button. Click atthe button: GDFS. There will be a phone lock reset to "0000". Click it.It will take no more than 45 seconds. Unplug your phone, and vuala! If your phone won't turn on, try pulling out the battery,putting it back and trying again. This program is also good for flashing phones, and putting flash menus on your phone. Also unlocking it and debranding it.

Try with another sim card, clean the sim connector of your phone, reset you phone to Factory Setting (default) using 12345. If you can open it, clean the mobile thoroughly using IPA solution. This problem is caused by Firmware problem and Hardware problem as well. Good luck.
