Disable UAC. go to sysconfig, Tools tab, scroll down and run the "Disable UAC"... reboot, and try as administrator..

I am continuing to recieve Windows update error 9C48 and I am unable to fix error

Hello,
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=23332
Instructions:
  1. Uninstall IE9, if you already have it installed, and restart the computer.
  2. Download the installer.
  3. Disconnect from the internet. This is important because the installer attempts to download the latest, bad binaries from Windows Update.
  4. Let the install finish, and restart.
  5. Reconnect to the internet and check Windows Update. If all went well, you should be able to see the Cumulative Update for IE9, instead of IE9 itself.
Thanks

Microsoft updates

It's not always a big deal if they don't download. All depends on what it is. Microsoft tends to have that issue sometimes but if you really want to download those updates you can always go onto their website and dowload them from there.

Getplus (r) error and unable to load GUI

That getPLUS error is from the updater that came with an adobe software. try uninstalling it if you find it in Add/Remove Programs and then in mozilla, uninstall or disable any plug-in named getPlus. then don't download getPLUS software anymore.

also, download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Error Code XO80004004 & XO80070648

Ok nothing at all on 80070648 but the other reason is enough to fix it.
It is security where you need to have permission to do this.
This was already answered once before but I know how hard it is to get to the right answer. So instead of rewriting someone elses work here is the URL. PS not the uninstall and reinstall answer
