Hi my s9600 is not working at all ??? but not sure if the batteries are stronger enough
Two things:
- it IS worth using good quality batteries - they are inexpensive anyway these days. Get some high capacity Ni-MH batteries [AA] and a good charger - Some with capacity > 2500 MAh is best. They'll definitely have enough power, too
- [and a good tip, this], using a very fine and small piece of glasspaper, very carefully rub the contacts in the battery compartment. Do it gently, but make sure the contacts are clean AND make sure you do the gentle rub on all contacts [i.e., on all the metal parts inside the compartment that will touch the +ve or -ve terminals of your batteries]. This can revive a camera. Sometimes, older batteries leak fluid that is hardly visible, BUT if that fluid gets on the contacts it can form a totally non-conductive surface and, unless that's removed, the camera might not boot/work at all. If u use the glasspaper, it can remove the film and the camera will work. I've done this many times, with success, on friends' cameras.
Good luck!
