Dryer door switch assembly. how do I put it back together

While putting my dryer door back on it slipped and the dryer door switch assembly fell apart. Can anyone tell me how to put it back together? If I'm not mistaken the blue wire is the com, the yellow nc, and the grey no. I don't know exactly how they should be put back into the housing. Please help!

All the terminals should be different in size with the big terminal wire being common which goes in the middle the other 2 wires make the light come on and make the motor go so if you get em backwards she will run with the door open and the light will come on with the door closed..

SOURCE: Maytag DE 412 Door switch

Attach the white to the common and the yellow to the NC, which means "normally closed". Normally, the circuit is closed which allows the dryer to run.

SOURCE: dryer takes three cycles to dry took apart need help put back together

Model #?
If this is a standard dryer with the idler pulley, place the pulley into the slots to the left of the motor pulley. Bring the belt through the idler so it is running on the flat side of the belt and place the belt around the motor. The idler should be placing down pressure on the belt keeping it tight. make sure there are no twists all the way around the drum or it will pop off.

SOURCE: Door Switch broken; therefore dryer will not start.

look at your schematic to make sure that you are jumping the right pair of wires. Yes, it should work if you jumper the door switch

Here is a couple of websites that shows the breakdown and parts of dryers, maybe they will have your model to help show where the two springs go.

SOURCE: which wire is connected to which spot on the door switch? help =(

The white is the common and the gray is for the light the yellow allows machine to start and run when the door is closed.. Just hook them up if the light is on with the door open it should be good to go... If the light is not on then switch the yellow and gray.

Asko T731W 24 Inch Electric Dryer. How to replace belt on ask t731 dryer

Question edited for a lot more clarity and the correct name of maker in at least one place :>D

No one has done this job and documented it.

Normally you start at the back as the top has to come off. Then there are a couple of screws down at the kickboard, and you remove the front and the door. Be careful as there are wires to the door switch. With the top and front off, you can slip the belt onto the drum by putting the the belt between the drum and front rollers (or drum slides). Feed the belt past the idler pulley and onto the motor spindle. Remember the idler pulley puts tension on the back of the belt. It is a great opportunity to vacuum all the dust out. Turn the drum manually to line everything up. Put everything back together and do a test run..

Pt 3406107 fell apart. I need to know how it is wired to put it back together. It is the door switch that cuts off the dryer power when the door is opened. There is a small spring and a free standing...

if it fell apart Just get a new one and use the connector supplied with it ,, Once they give way they possess a danger better safe than sorry and the part isn't that expensive, heres the part for 16.00 and change !! http://www.partselect.com/PS346704-Whirlpool-3406107-Door-Switch.htm?inventory=346704&SourceCode=6

Timer ticks, but dryer does not run

Sounds like door switch. Open door and push on door switch. you should here a clicking noise. If you can open the top of the dryer. put the 2 wires together of the door switch. Make sure it is unplugged when doing this. Make sure you use electrical tape when you put it together. Temp fix. Get a new switch

Ball bearings on bottom drawer assembly fell out. Can't figure out how to put it back together.

If the ball bearings fell out, you have to put them back in one half at a time. The thing that houses it is half the size of the length, so put the top one in at the left and the bottom one in at the right and then you can push them together once they're in.

Door lock assembly fell inside door

The same thing happened to my 2006 Aveo. Once you do the above find the lock and the screw that holds it in (they will both be in the bottom of the door). Put the lock back in place, put blue Loctite on the screw and screw it back in place and this problem will not repeat itself.

Lid switch assembly

go to www.searspartsdirect.com for a picture of this units lid switch.it doesnt show it very well, but it will give you an idea of how it goes back together.
what you need to do is put the lever around the switch first, then put the plastic box on the switch and arm. then carefully hold the assembly together and try to get it under the top and put the 2 screws back into the housing holes.
it sounds simple but i have done this before and its not easy. you just need to be careful to get the screws into the mounts correctly or it wont hold together to allow the switch to activate when the lid is closed.
by the way was there a reason you took the switch off??
maybe because it wont spin?
by the way this unit is not 30 years old, maybe 20 at the most.
the drive couplings are a weak spot for these and you may have a broken one. it wont spin or agitate but will drain if this is broken.
