Copy handycam mini disc to normal dvd disc using apple mac

I want to copy a wedding recorded on dcr-dvd201e handycam mini disc to a normal recordable dvd via apple mac is this possible & how & can apple mac take mini dvds direct

    I do not see a date on your post, it is most likely old. Have you updated software? Can you determine your Imovie version?

Most recent apples will not take small discs, use a firewire lead and import on to iMovie then export to iDVD (you can edit simply in iMovie) and burn as many dvds as you want

Can not get video files from a mini dis dcr dvd 108 handycam when I try to import to my pc it says does not support this dis i was using usb cable to pc with sony's software thanks jim
First make sure to finalize recorded disc in camcorder, finalization option is available in camcorder menu and will be enable by powering camcorder with AC charger/ adapter.
Now you can transfer movie files in computer or put recorded disc in computer dvd rom and copy files.

I get a message on the screen that says, "recording disabled." How do I fix this? I have a Sony Handycam DVD/RW Wide LCD
This message appears when mini dvd disc got some error in recording tracks, if its rewritable mini disc then format it as option is available in camera settings menu and if disc is once writable then use another disc as it can not be formatted.
Caution: Format will erase/ delete all files on dvd disc and refresh the dvd disc.
