Mine stopped mid-
December. I used the old reliable 99999 as my zip code, turned off the tv for an hour, turned it back on, entered my correct zip code and was patient. Today, the 15th of January, it popped back up. I have a feeling that it is all due to the switch over. I think different cable companies are setting things up and the gude was lost during that time. Maybe if you are patient, it will pop back up also.
The Guide Plus data that has been transmitted to your TV has changed. This is due to the broadcast industry having to switch from analog to digital transmission.
This change is because the FCC wanted to free up frequencies for civic reasons. The police, fire, and other emergency related two way radio coordination. If you are receiving your signal via antenna please post a reply and I can help you with getting your signal converted to digital.
Unfortunately your current system is not compatible with the nation wide switch to digital.
You can thank the Bush administration for the way the conversion was handled.

I get my signal fron cable and I lost my Guide Plus about 2 weeks ago.
I have comcast cable and my guide plus stopped working about a week ago.
I think they did it just to get you to PAY for the service that we chose in the 1st place and make the initial investment, now we have to PAY twice!!
Same here. Mine stopped a few days ago. I have Comcast in chicago.
is there a fix for the loss of guide plus?
after the analog to digital update takes place will the Guide Plus come back?
I can't get guide plus to work anymore anyway, but I have not converted to digital and have no intentions of doing so. The company, comcast, does that somewhere so why can't they still send the over the air signal for the update? Can someone really explain this.
