Plug it into your USB port on the computer, works like a mini hard drive sort of. When you plug it in, it should ask what you want to do, see files etc. Just drag and drop files in or out.

How do i know/change my new PNY 16GB USB flash drive to "comply with the USB Class Specification (USB MSC) and supports formats of FAT32 and FAT16" per my car infotainment system requirements? i am trying...

You have to format the drive to the correct type before transferring your music onto it. Not sure whether you're using windows or Mac. In windows go into file explorer, right click the usb drive and select format. This will show you a section of formats including FAT32.

WHY WONT MY 16GB PNY FLASHDRIVE WORK WHEN I DOWNLOAD A MOVIE ONTO IT?

Perhaps it has not been prepped, eg: not formated to use. Format it with fat32 file system using formatting software from the manufacturer. Also, make sure the movie file does not exceed 16 GB.

The 8gb pny flash drive will only hold 751 mb. How can I format it to hold more info.

Most flash drives are formatted in FAT32 - back up your data first. You may be able to reformat the drive in XP and higher versions of Windows. Start > Control Panel > System (System and Security in Win7) > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > DisK Management. Make sure the USB drive is not active (ready to remove). Delete the current volume (Action > All Tasks) on the flash drive. Then format the USB drive using the NTFS standard. (Make sure you do not reformat C: unless you are prepared to reinstall your OS)

A simpler way to get more data on a FAT32 drive is to use folders. The total number of files in the home directory (E: (if C: is the hard drive and D: is the optical drive)) is the critical limit on a FAT32 drive. (I remember a limit of 512 files but that might have been FAT16).

Third-party partitioning solutions can also be used.

I hope this helps.

Windows says not enough space on pny 8 gig flash drive

Try formatting the drive as NTFS instead of FAT32 (assuming you are using it only on Windows computers). FAT32 doesn't support files over 4GB.
