I have a Canon mini 260 ink jet photo printer with error code B200

Canon Printer Error Code B200 may point to many different items, but it's essentially a problem with the overheating of the print head. Other than that, the issues usually have to do with the full waste ink tank, the full waste ink pad, and other parts of the printhead.

For the Canon Printer Error Code B200, Canon technicians recommend some generic solutions for this issue to users. This suggestion includes turning the printer off and turning it on. But we noticed some more comprehensive solutions for the solution involving dealing with the printer heads.

Easy Solutions that Fix Canon B200 Error

1.Turn OFF the printer
.
2.Unplug the printer from the power source.

Error code on my ix4000 reads 5C00

Canon has a decent trouble shooting guide for this model:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro...

Click on the Step-by-Step Troubleshooting link under Tech Support

Unfortunately it does not give any possible solutions for blinking lights.

The user guide on the other hand does.
You can download this under Downloads -> Product / Software Manuals

Here is a summary of what the flashing lights could mean:

Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error

Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Three flashes: Paper jam

If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

See Paper Jams

Six flashes: No print head installed

Install a print head.

Seven flashes: Print head is defective

Contact the Customer Care Center.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full

Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in the waste ink absorber placed in the printer. Eight flashes indicate that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so that you can continue printing.

Important
If this error occurs, replacement of the waste ink absorber and maintenance of the printer are required. Canon recommends to contact the Customer Care Center as soon as possible. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible.

Nine flashes: Ink tank is not installed properly

Open the print head cover and press the button of the ink tank and reinstall the ink tank properly.

Ten flashes: Battery level is low

Charge the battery. For details on how to charge the battery, refer to the manual supplied with the battery.

Eleven flashes: A specified period of time has lapsed without receiving a response from the digital camera or digital video camcorder / The digital camera or digital video camcorder connected is not compatible with this printer

Disconnect the camera cable, press the printer's RESUME/CANCEL button and reconnect the cable.
If the error is still unresolved, there is a possibility that you are using a digital camera or digital video camcorder that is not supported by this printer. Use digital cameras or digital video camcorders that are compatible with this printer.

POWER lamp flashes alternate green and orange:

An error that requires contacting the Customer Care Center may have occurred.

Disconnect the printer cable from the printer, and then turn the printer off and unplug the printer from the power supply. Plug the printer back in and turn the printer back on after leaving it about 10 minutes.

If the problem remains, contact the Customer Care Center.

Canon i470D Waste Ink Tank is Completely Full. How Do I Clean It?

There is a cleaning solution sold on E-bay for Cannon i470D print heads.
Or you can try a little ammonia. I used a cap full of ammonia in each side of the print head where the ink tanks go.
Put the print head in a can and let it set in the ammonia for 5-15 minutes then blot dry with paper towels and let stand until dry.
Then run the maint routines for the print head found under properties/maintance.

Problem with printing

Sorry the manual doesn't help much either... this is what it says, "POWER lamp flashes alternate green and orange Turn the printer off and unplug the printer from the power supply. Plug the printer back in and turn the printer back on. If the problem remains, contact a Canon service representative."

You could try the following reset code which works when reseting after emptying the waste ink tank:

Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

Hope it helps
