Open the monitor stand Dell 1703FP

There seems to be a problem with the height ajustment of the monitor stand. I want to open it from the bottom to see what's wrong. I have unscrewed it all and removed the silver coloured plastic piece. Now the lightmetal part of the foot has to be removed but it doesn't come off. Is there some hidden screw or other thing I do not see? How does it come off in a nice way?

I suggest you take it to a computer store for them to fix as the monitor may be defected. do not try to fix it yourself as you may void the warranty and not be covered in case it is a defect. if your computer store doesnt find anything then you might like to call dell. there number is on their website up the top right hand side.

Up to my knowledge, controls are mostly intuitive. Monitors have some buttons under lover right border, where you can manipulate some properties. Search for them.

Height adjustment on monitor stand is stuck. This stand is used on the Samsung SyncMaster 213T and the Dell 2001FP monitor.
I'd call or email samsung. They actually want to know about product problems so the next edition is an improvement. Their Owner's manual should have contact info, or the install cd or google. Tomshardware.com
always seems to be very helpful and may have a "fix".

Can the monitor height be adjusted. It seems to be fixed to the stand with no adjustments?
No but you could always put something under the stand most can only be tilted for lighting reasons.

I have purchased a Dell LCD 1703FP and i have installed Intel 82865g Graphics Controller.But i am facing the issue that text are showing blurry at 1024 x 768 with 60Hertz.But sharp at 1280 x 1024 75Hertz
The best resolution for that monitor is 1280x1024. It was specifically built for that resolution. I recommend using that one.

Dell 1703FP monitor issue
reduce the hardware acceleration on it. I resolved it by reducing acceleration and changing my screen size. It works. I wanted higher resolution but it doesn't seem to be possible for some reason.
