Connect the device with rear sockets, and select the input. As there is rear jacks to your TV AV-1 & AV-2 selection must be there. Enter into its Menu option, surf through, come to input selection window. and select proper selection here. Switch ON both the devices before selecting inputs. When correct input selection have been done, the logo of your external device will appear on screen.

I have an xbox 360 theres power to the lead but no power coming on the xbox itself, any ideas please?

Check for a broken USB port. There are 2 in front and 1 in the rear.
If there are any broken prongs touching it will not power on....assuming you are getting power beyond your power supply.

Is the light changin colors on your power supply brick once you press teh power button?

No video output

is the selector switch in the correct position on the A/V cable connector @ the rear of the console? If switch is in the SD position it will output video signal through the yellow component jack @ TV, if it is in the HD position it will output video through the R/G/B digital component jacks @ TV

Very bad buzzing sound when useing video cable

I am guessing that the video cable is not comparable with your Sega Genesis console and that you need a video cable that is comparable with your Sega Genesis console.

Try different AV input at the rear or try different source such as DVD player at front where you connector game use different AV cable
Sometime the AV jack input poor contact because for long time you not use it or the electronic switching video inside your receiver is faulty

try to plug it into the wall and move the male power jack whiles it plug into the female jack and hold the power button. see if you get any responds from it, if so you may have a lose solder joint. also why dont you try another battery. the battery may be shot and causing a conflict with the ds. worse things worse. the power jack could be broken inside. have you had any water damage?
