Washing machine won't spin

Sounds like clutch not catching,this may need to bed in .The fact it works okay with no load and no spin with load sounds like clutch/ but also could be motor torque.Ask repair man to recheck work done.

Check door switch: If the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining. Release switch. Motor should stop. Press switch a second time. Washer should start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid switch is pressed, replace the switch. OR

The lid switch is probably out. Bypass it and see if she magically comes to life. Their are 3 wires to the lid switch 2 of which are live wires. Jumper them 2 live wires and see if she runs in spin.

check the lid safety switch, if its not engaging, it won't do the things you've mentioned, you can jumper it to check it,, just use a wire to connect both wires together at the plug in connection, unplug the switch and replace it with a wire to each connection point

There are 3 different style lid switches used on Whirlpool/Kenmore washers. You have to break down the unit to determine which one you use. Any appliance parts house will carry what you need.

Yes....the lid switch is broken...will need to be replaced.

the motor it's self may be getting weak this happened to me.try running it through a small cycle with no cloths in it .holding the buton down under the with a small object so you can have the lid open to see exactly what's going on.if it seems too work like that.your probably talking new motor.
