SOURCE: how do i reset or remove build-in HDD user

if you are talking about the user password that prompts you when you log in to windows...(and you do not know it ) just reinstall the password...if you know the password and want to remove it ...go to control panel ...user accounts ..press the admin account you are logged in ...and after that click remove password...
But I repeat ..if it is the user password and you do not know it ..and it boots until the password prompt in windows...than the only options is to reinstall ...If you have another user with admin rights on it ..you can remove the other account from user accounts also ...

SOURCE: HDD password for Toshiba Satellite 1400

You get 3 attempts,if after which you have'nt got it right you need to shut it down and try again. But the easiest way is to contact Toshiba,Because if the laptop is genuinely yours you would have registered it when you bought it!!, if you did'nt then your stuck in a sticky place, like when Sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun!! Basically you will have to prove that you are the rightful owner i.e. Proof of purchase

SOURCE: How to unlock hdd/ssd password on toshiba

Step 1Turn on your laptop. Press the "F2" key when the first loading screen appears. This will load the BIOS. You'll only have a second or two to press this key before Windows begins to boot. If you're not fast enough and the Windows screen comes up, simply restart and try again.
Step 2Use the right-arrow key to highlight the "Security" tab. This is the third tab from the right.
Step 3Press the down-arrow to enter the Security Settings menu. Scroll down to "User Password," listed beneath the "HDD/SSD Password Select." This will open a pop-up window with three text fields.
Step 4Type your current password into the "Current Password" field. Press "Enter." Type your new password into the "New Password" field and press "Enter." Type the same password again into the "Confirm New Password" field and press "Enter." The "Password" window will close.
Step 5Press the "F10" key to save your new settings and exit the BIOS. Your laptop will now boot normally.
Tips & WarningsHDD password can be changed as many times as necessary. However, once you enable password protection, you can never delete it.

How do I change hdd/ssd password?

So you bought a second-hand SSD drive (or a computer with an SSD) and it's password protected?
There's no way to remove this password. Period. Your only option is to ask the person who sold you the SSD.

Toshiba nb505 the screen says enter built in hdd/ssd user password

Somehow, the HDD password has been set. Unless you can remember it, you MAY need to replace the HDD to get around this. I have 'bricked' an HDD in the past in this way.

There is a company on the Web that, for a fee, will help you break that password. The fee depends on the size of the drive. However, to get access again, the HDD will have to removed and reinstalled into an empty SATA/IDE port on a 32-bit desktop so their online server can remove the password. Might be easier just replacing the drive...

I GOT A TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP HOW DO I RESET THE HDD/SSD PASSWORD I BOUGHT IT THIS WAY

I'm afraid you may have purchased a stolen laptop. It is impossible to remove a HD/SSD drive password, there are no backdoor passwords and if the Toshiba has a Power on Password then this laptop cannot boot up.
If the HD/SSD is password locked then remove the existing drive, replace it with a new HD or SSD, install Windows plus the Toshiba device drivers and programs to get a working laptop.
