Blown fuse Hello, I have a JVC LT32X576 LC TV Manfg in Aug 2005. I was watching and it turned off on its own, I thought that the sleep timer got turned on so I pushed the on button on the remote and nothing, pushed the power button on the side, nothing, checked to see if the unit was getting power and it was 121.7 Volts. I took the back cover off and checked the fuse, it was blown, I replaced it with a 250V 6.3 Amp fuse (same specs as on the blown fuse and stated on the board) and the blue power light came on as soon as I plugged it in, I tried turning it off but no responce, after about 30 to 45 seconds I can turn it off by pushing the main power button, and back on again but you have to wait 30-45 sec to be able to turn it back. The only thing that turns on is the blue LED nothing else. The relay clicks when the light turns on and off.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a JVC LT32X576

Hi,

Primary suspect would be the Power Supply board. Most models uses a common PSU P/N LCA90348. This is based on your post that the main fuse blew. It still could not be ruled out that any of the other boards/components are not faulty. The best approach would be to reference a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: no power on jvc tv. turn on tv and power light

It may have gone into shut down because it sensing over current draw may be from the backlight inverter board, you need to disconnect the connector that feeds to power to the inverter board to see if the TV will stay on.

Well the clicking noise is usually an indication that the power supply has failed. You will have to replace the PS board.. If your tv is under extended warranty then you can make use of it to get it fix "Free of charge". Otherwise you can either get a tech to fix it or try fixing it yourself provided you have the experience. You can search for the part at www.partstore.com

JVC tv "stuck" on sleep timer

I think you would have to turn off the sleep timer mode completely or increase its ON time span, say to 4 hours or so
or the lenth of time you have the TV on for. If that does not fix it then it sounds like a STANDBY MODE fault problem.
Hope this helps.

On Timer light flashing on my TV

If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. good luck!
