JVC 42 INCH PLASMA POWER LIGHT BLINKING ONLY NO PICTURE
Blue power light blinks on both the tv and the power box. I have unplugged the unit and turned it back on...the power light comes on solid (like normal as the picture is warming up), but then after 10 seconds or so there is a clicking sound(the same sound that it makes when you turn it off) and then the blue power light blinks.
Any help please? It is almost like the tv is in a safe mode and needs to be reset.

I unpluged mine and the light was still blinking when it was unpluged. I thought that was weird. So I pluged it back in and just heald the power button in untill the light went out. It went out within ten seconds. I pushed the power button again and the tv went on. WOOHOO!!! Just needed reset, I guess.
Most likely it going to be a power supply related problem. The red blinking light is a code for a TV tech to diagnose the problem on the power supply board itself or the board that regulates the power for the screen. Some manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board. A TV repair shop should be able to look at it for you and tell you which board is bad.
Replacement boards can be found at a good price at Shopjimmy.com
1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV 2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote) 3. blue light comes ON and stays ON 4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-] 5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear
I think this is right. I got it from the JVC call centers guys so sorry if I missed or messed up a step.
