I can't play videos or see my data - Insignia Sport MP3 Player

    I use a Mac OS X 10.4.11
    I can't get videos to work on my insignia MP3/4 player.
    There is no file with the title "Video" on the MP3/4 player file.
    So when I double click InsigniaMP3, it only says, AUDIBLE, CONFIG, Devlcon.fil, DevLogo.fil, Music, RECORD, SYS_CONF.JTT, WMPInfo.xml
    Where do I put videos in so I can watch them?! >.>

    that's really unhelpful as the software is PC ONLY!!!
    - try another software video converter called 'iSkySoft video converter' - or even Microsoft's own 'Media Expression 2' - the latter allows you to view the files and even play them from the device- really useful!

Go to your device manager and update any usb devices that show as problems. Let the Internet find them for you. I just did this and everything is converting and copying to the device.

Go to Arcsoft and download their Media converter2 and it should change your video into a format that the Insignia player will recognize.

yes i believe you can't play samsung videos to iphone, becuase they have different codecs. try converting your samsung video to iphone's extension files. although it may seem that samsung and iphone have same extension like .mp4, different codecs requires conversion or different player. install VLC on your samsung instead if you want to play iphone video and vise versa if you want to play samsung video to your iphone.

Video's on the web skip and stop instead of playing straight through. A 3 min video can take 10 minutes to watch????
While starting to play a YouTube video, press the PAUSE button.
Wait 2 minutes, and press the PLAY button.

If it plays "smoothly", then the only problem is the speed of your Internet connection. For example, if you have a teenage son,
and supply him with only one cheese-burger per day, he will complain that you are "starving" him. If you supply him more quickly, i.e., more burgers per day, he will stop complaining.
Similarly, a faster Internet connection will smooth-out your videos,
because the download is supplying data faster than your video-player is "consuming" the data.

Accidentally deleted videos, they would not play on camcorder, played on PC, any way to recover them?
When files are deleted they still remain on camcorder hard drive and can be recovered, unless they have been overwritten by fresh data.

The only thing to do so run a data recovery program to see what can be recovered. The only program I have tested is asoftech data recovery software and it had done the job well. download the data recovery from http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Select the drive where your files were deleted and then do a deep scan. It will find your deleted files.

Dvd not playing dvds
Basic Information:

i) try to choose  right burner for eg: Nero CD/DVD Burner

ii) try to choose the right format,

     for eg: MP3/MP4/ Audio Songs will come under Audio format
               in such case select "Audio CD/DVD format" in Nero CD/DVD Burner


     for eg: .DAT/MPEG/MP4/Video will come under Video format

                in such case select "Video CD/DVD format" in Nero CD/DVD Burner


     for eg: "DATA CD format" is only storing some data on CD/DVD iresspective whether it is                            Videofile or Audio file, 

                these "DATA CD formated" CD/DVD when played in DVD Player will play only Audio files 
                but no Video Files

My dual xdvd700 wont play cd-r discs with music videos on them.
dual xdvd700 is a very picky device in order for you to play videos on a cd-r disc...you need need a burning software that have video burning capacity...don't just burn video as data copy/backup b/c dvd player won't recognize it. hope this help...
So it's base on how you burn your disc...NO data backup/copy ...use Video Burning instead

Acer dvd problem
When you burn dvd's to play on DVD players dont burn them as Data dvd they will not play. When you burn the DVD movie try to burn it using a DVD player compatible profile and this depends on the application software you are using to burn the DVD.

Do the DVD play on your computer from DVD or even from the file on hard drive.

If it does not play from the file on hard drive then the file is corrupted on downloading or you dont have a proper dvd palying software like PowerDVD

If it plays from the software but does not play from the DVD on your computer, then it means your DVD burner softaware corrupts file information on burning. Try using a different burning software.

If it plays DVD on your computer but not on the DVD player then your DVD burning profile you selecting is not compatible with your player its possibly burning Data DVD.
