Procedure
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Microsoft
Run the installer and choose your options when prompted
Connect your webcam when prompted.

select the operating system of your laptop, windows xp, windows vista or windows 7 then model of the web-cam and finally the language after the download run the driver and you can plug your webcam

The software version on the disk is usually out of date and there havebeen problems getting webcams to run under Vista.

Its better to go to the Microsoft website and download the latest version of the software - see link;

Remeber to download and installthe software first and then plug in the webcam and that should be that!

cano't instal my microsoftware cd in my vista pc it was working well windos xp please solve me this problem i can use other model micro soft lifecam software it will work please help me

ok if you are running vista then you need the updated vista drivers you can find them on the microsoft site.

if its vista your using the life cam software wil NOT work
altho it say it will on the box it wont work for pea nuts

on the other hand you can down load the xp drivers from the same place and this will do the same install as the disk would have

Uninstall Windows Vista. Do a fresh install of Windows XP Professional Sp2. Download XP drivers and install camera. Many software programs have trouble initializing in Windows Vista. Good luck!
