Hi windtraveler,

Everything you need can be found within your manual. If you do not have your manual you can download it directly from MSI, click on this link:
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=K8NGM2-NBP&table=download
To view the manual you will need Adobe's PDF reader. This too can be downloaded for free at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

Motherboard layout is found on page 1-5. Than see page 2-2, Quick Components Guide.
Here you'll be able to see the name of each motherboard item followed by a page number.
These pages show a closer, (blown up view) to help connect the things like the case's led’s to the mother board.
Example; JFP1, p.2-21. At the top of page 2-21 is, Front Panel Connector: JFP1/JFP2.
What is not shown or explained for the, Front Panel Connector is the color of the wires coming from the case. Normally the colors, red, blue, green, light blue, light green & light red are commonly used as positive ( + ). The colors white & black are commonly used as negative ( - ).
Armed with the manual you should be able to re-connect any disconnected wire for the motherboard, (K8NGM2-NBP).

Good luck windtraveler!
If you come across somthing that does not make sence, post your question here & I'll try to help you further.

Mike

I cannot find my book on how to hook up my front panel header connections. I down loaded the user guide, but it did not show the instructions for that hook up.

Look at the connectors on the end of the cable(s) that come from the front-panel header.
They will be labelled.
Try to match them up with the corresponding group of pins/sockets on the motherboard.

How do i wire-up the: ( eg. power l.e.d., HD led, reset led ect. to the board

The various wires from the case front panel should be labeled to indicate power LED, HD LED, etc.
The motherboard front panel jumper pins should be grouped together and the pins should be labeled to indicate PWR, HD. RST etc.
You can go to the motherboard manufacture's WEB site to download a diagram of your model motherboard and it will show all the locations of the connecting pins.

Where do you attach the two thin black wires coming from the on-off button on the case?

Without knowing what brand and model motherboard, I can only give a generic answer. There should be a group of pin connectors somewhere on the motherboard (usually near the edge away from the expansion card sockets. This group will have labels printed on the motherboard above them with abbreviated descriptions (i.e., PWR for power, HDD for Hard Disk Drive light, RST for reset, etc.). You'll want to connect those to the two connectors labeled PWR, it does not matter which order you connect them.

Everything is unplugged, I just need a wiring schematic to plug everything back in

Does the motherboard have a "purple" socket?
Does your keyboard have a "purple" end?
If so, join the male to the female,
rotating the male until the stiff pins line-up with the holes.

Does the motherboard have a "green" socket?
Does your mouse have a "green" end?
If so, join the male to the female.

The end on the monitor's video-cable has 3 rows of pins;
there's only one place on the computer with 3 rows of holes.
Notice that the sides of the male are tapered,
so that it only fits ONE way into the female.

Similarly, the female end on the power-cord is tapered,
so that it only fits ONE way into the back of the computer.
Note where it connects -- there may be a "rocker" switch,
with a '1' and a '0' on the ends of the rocker.
Press the '0' end down before you reconnect everything.
Press the '1' end down after everything has been reconnected.

Do your PC speakers have a green tip?
If so, then connect the male from the speakers to the green female socket.
